Welcome to The Crafty Market! It is an exciting new Art & Crafts Market in Dublin's Coombe district, a five minutes' walk from St. Patrick's Cathedral. On the first Sunday of each month 45 stall holders set out their wares in an indoor market for you to browse and buy. Don't pay through the nose for handicrafts in exclusive shops when you can purchase them straight from the artist in a fun market environment where haggling is encouraged.
Please have a look around our site and see work from some of the market's stall holders, see photos from the Market days and sign our guestbook. Let us know what you like and what you would like to see more of.
If you make your own crafty items or artworks please sign up for a stall by filling out a Stall Application Form, you can be part of The Crafty Market too, just like Crafty Ireland, many of whom are regular stall holders at the Crafty Market. Etsy Ireland is the official blog of the Crafty Ireland team who represent over 90 talented artists, crafters, and designers based throughout the island of Ireland. For member interviews, giveaways, how-to's and other fun stuff be sure to drop in to www.etsyireland.blogspot.com.
The next market is on Sunday 7th February from 12 to 5pm
The deadline for applications for the January market is 20th January.
Huge thanks to the music acts that played December's market - the children's choir of Centre Stage Academy of Performing Arts, the trad band Seolta and Susan Scully's band. If you want to get in touch with any of our acts please email the market at thecraftymarket@gmail.com and we'll send you their info.
Also a big, big thanks to everyone who donated generously to the Simon Community box. We collected twice the amount of hats, gloves and scarves that we expected, so well done all you lovely people!
Our market is located in the Dublin Food Co-op building, on Newmarket Sq. The Co-op is a members' organic and fair-trade food distribution society, and operates a weekly market on Thursday and Saturdays with fresh fruit and veg, a dry food shop and a cafe. It is Dublin's only indoor farmers market. See more at www.dublinfood.coop.
