The Market was set up by Ailbhe O'Connell and Louise Gambrill, two Dublin-based artists who were finding it hard to sell their art without paying high commission rates.  A little research into market spaces followed and the Crafty Market was born in March.  The launch market on 3 May was a great success and there have been many more to follow.

You can find us in our new location, Shebeen Chic on George's Street. Shebeen is right in the heart of the city centre and has a great atmosphere and a lovely laid back bohemian atmosphere to it.

The market holds up to 30 stalls which change on a regular basis to ensure a different shopping experience each time you visit!   There is a wide selection of handicrafts and artwork at the market, ranging from paintings to homewares, jewellery to babyclothes, hats to handbags. We have now introduced new stalls to the crafty including vintage clothing, food, books and bric a brac which means there is something for everyone. Live music, performers and a tarot card reader add to the fun and ensure it will be a great day out for the whole family.

Shebeen Chic provide a delicious lunch menu, there's also coffee, tea or something abit stronger served at the bar throughout the day. So you can while away the hours listening to great music and having a bite to eat after perusing the eclectic stalls!
